Today we are with Pedro Franco, Management and Controller Installations at ADEM MANAGEMENT. We are currently working on the lighting design of several of his projects in Mallorca. We wanted to get to know him a little bit in depth and share it with all of you. Our interviews are already a classic and we are lucky to work with the best, so we will be passing by many of our professional friends, so that you can put a face to them and who knows, we can collaborate together too.

In the interview we asked him about one of the projects he directs and that we currently have underway in the study, Villas Mar i Cel and Villas Siesta is a project of 9 luxury homes in Cala Figuera.

Pedro has a track record of more than 20 years managing works, most of these years, he did it through an engineering company and was specialized in construction management of all types of facilities (Electricity, Telecommunications, Special, Mechanical and Home Automation). In 2018 he became independent and founded Adem Management from where he provides comprehensive management services for construction and facilities.

His day to day has been focused on directing works of all kinds, residential, hospitals, hospitality establishments, industrial facilities, etc. and more recently he has focused on the management of high standing residential works. Adapting to each type of work for him has been key as he recognizes that it is a constant learning process, which enriches you and makes you an expert in works, attending to their different characteristics, needs and requirements. What he likes most about his work is to start and be part of the team of a project on paper and end up seeing the final result. Nowadays, "adding Construction with Installations, the challenge for me is much greater" explains Pedro who defines himself as very active and feels like a fish in water directing, organizing and controlling that the times are correct in terms of execution, always defending the quality of the work. 

Which professional in architecture or interior design, a world reference, would you like to collaborate with?

I have worked with many incredible architecture and interior design firms, my luck has been that, I have learned from all of them, I have been trained every day a little more and in the end you realize that working with different professionals gives you a very different vision to what you initially see in some plans when you start with a new project. 

I wanted to work on a project in London next to Norman Foster's office, but it was not possible.

If you were a lamp, you'd be...

A floor lamp with warm light next to one side of a comfortable sofa. I like peace, warmth and tranquility, not too high... A Maisons du Monde for example.

In reference to the project Villas Mar i Cel and Villas Siesta in Cala Figuera, what can you tell us?

It is an honor for me to be part of the team that carries out this project. It is about 9 high standing homes, in a little known enclave such as Cala Figuera. Everything is built in four blocks within the same urban area and with a modern look, very Mediterranean, fresh, with lots of light in its interiors. They are houses of more than 400 square meters plus as many of garden, some more than others, but have an outdoor area with swimming pools, barbecues, pergolas, gardens and lots, lots of space. The finishes will be incredible, natural stones, hardwoods, a system of air conditioning and heating modern and fully controlled by home automation. As for lighting, warm colors, elements that will decorate more than illuminate, very warm and every corner will have its own personality.

You tell us with great passion and satisfaction, what other travel companions are part of this wonderful project?

The architectural project has been developed by Nacho Pons of the office 3de3. The interior design work is by Terraza Balear studio. I would also like to mention and thank the following companies: Construcciones Tomeu Rossello, Estel Ingeniería y Obras, Maximetal Metalistería, Mairata Cerramientos, Can Pou Carpinterias, Marmoles Moya, Jusantre pavimentos de madera, Pinturas Florit, Iconico, Cromia, Sa Balear, Thyssen, Piscina y Jardin, Teclisa, Maversa and of course WordLight, without all of them a project of this nature, in time, form and quality, would be very difficult to achieve. 

How does lighting influence or how important is it in these villas?

Obviously, as I said, being very open to the outside, they will have a lot of natural light, but at night their appearance will be impressive and very spectacular both from the inside and outside.

How was your collaboration with WorldLight?

WorldLight was responsible for the design of the equipment and technical advice, as well as for the supply of materials.

Why would you recommend Worldlight to other industry professionals?

Security, commitment, advice, above all a smooth delivery service and the most important thing for a responsibility like mine, is that I know I have a very important technical support in case of doubts, problems, changes or last minute needs, since in a project of this kind there are always last minute needs, always to improve, of course.
