Today we are with Pedro Franco, Management and Controller of Installations at ADEM MANAGEMENT. We are currently collaborating on the lighting design for several of his projects in Mallorca. We wanted to get to know him a little better and share it with all of you. These interviews have already become a classic for us, and we’re lucky to work with some of the best professionals in the field. Many of our colleagues and friends will continue to pass through here, giving you the chance to put a face to their names and, who knows, maybe collaborate with them in the future.

During the interview, we asked Pedro about one of the projects he is leading and that we are currently developing in the studio: Villas Mar i Cel and Villas Siesta, a set of nine high-end homes in Cala Figuera.

Pedro has more than 20 years of experience overseeing construction projects. For much of that time, he worked within an engineering firm, specializing in the management of installations of all types—Electrical, Telecommunications, Special Systems, Mechanical, and Home Automation. In 2018, he began his independent professional journey and founded ADEM Management, from where he offers comprehensive construction and installation management services.

His day-to-day work has involved directing all kinds of projects: residential buildings, hospitals, hospitality establishments, industrial facilities, and more recently, high-end residential developments. For him, adapting to each type of project has been essential; he recognizes that it is a constant learning process—one that enriches your experience and makes you an expert in understanding the different characteristics, needs, and requirements of each build. What he enjoys most about his work is being part of a project from the moment it exists only on paper to witnessing its final execution. “Now, combining Construction with Installations, the challenge is much greater,” Pedro explains. He describes himself as very active and feels completely in his element when directing, organizing, and ensuring timelines are met while always defending the quality of the work.

Which architect or interior designer, as a global reference, would you most like to collaborate with?

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with many incredible architecture and interior design studios—I’ve been fortunate. I’ve learned from each one of them, improving a little every day. In the end, working with different professionals gives you a very different perspective from what you initially see on paper when starting a new project.

I would have loved to work on a project in London with Norman Foster’s studio, but it wasn’t possible in the end.”

If you were a lamp, you would be…

“A warm, cozy floor lamp placed next to a comfortable sofa. I like peace, warmth, and tranquility—not too tall… perhaps one from Maisons du Monde.”

Regarding the Villas Mar i Cel and Villas Siesta project in Cala Figuera—what can you tell us?

“It’s an honour to be part of the team behind this project. These are nine high-end homes located in a little-known yet spectacular area like Cala Figuera. They are built across four plots within the same urban area and feature a modern, fresh, and distinctly Mediterranean aesthetic, with interiors full of natural light. Each home exceeds 400 square metres, plus extensive gardens—some larger than others—but all featuring outdoor areas with pools, barbecues, pergolas, gardens, and plenty of space. The finishes will be exceptional: natural stone, fine woods, a modern climate and heating system fully controlled through home automation. Regarding lighting, we’re aiming for warm tones, decorative elements that contribute more than they illuminate—creating atmosphere—ensuring each corner has its own personality.”

You describe it with passion and pride. Who else forms part of the team behind this wonderful project?

“The architectural project was developed by Nacho Pons from the studio 3de3. The interior design is by Terraza Balear. I would also like to name and thank the companies involved: Construcciones Tomeu Rosselló, Estel Ingeniería y Obras, Maximetal Metalistería, Mairata Cerramientos, Can Pou Carpinterías, Mármoles Moya, Jusantre wooden flooring, Pinturas Florit, Iconico, Cromia, Sa Balear, Thyssen, Piscina y Jardín, Teclisa, Maversa and of course WorldLight. Without all of them, it would be incredibly difficult to achieve a project of this scale, on time, with the right processes and with the expected quality.”

How important is lighting in these villas?

“Given that these homes are extremely open to the exterior, they will naturally have plenty of daylight. But at night, the effect will be stunning—spectacular both from the inside and from the outside.”

How was your collaboration with WorldLight?

“WorldLight handled both the design of the lighting equipment and the technical advice, as well as the supply of materials.”

Why would you recommend WorldLight to other professionals?

“For their reliability, commitment, guidance, and above all, a delivery service without complications. Most importantly for someone with my responsibilities, I know I can count on crucial technical support in case of doubts, problems, changes, or last-minute needs—because in a project of this scale, those needs always arise, always for the better, of course.”

Thank you, Pedro—it’s always a pleasure.
