Babadul by Ingo Maurer

The Babadul lamp by INGO MAURER results from the perfect combination of four key materials: paper, metal, stainless steel and silicone. Babadul is both a floor lamp and an object of light, which emanates positively and unmistakably into spaces. The sheet of paper floats at the end of a thin metal rod, like a large abstracted flower petal. The lampshade is made of Japanese paper, which must undergo a special manufacturing process in Dagmar Mombach's studio until the desired shape is achieved.

The light source is an LED module with a cooling element developed by Ingo Maurer especially for MaMa Nouchies. Its light is so warm and soft that it is hardly noticeable in comparison to conventional halogen light sources.
