Nu Mallorca & Minimal Studio
Numa beach, now known as Nu Mallorca, represents the essence of the Mediterranean. This new beach club, located on the seafront at Playa de Muro, captures the feeling of summer in Mallorca like few others.
Minimal Studio carried out the full renovation of the space. We combined creativity with design elements typical of the area. As a result, we created a venue fully open to the sea and in harmony with its surroundings.
This project reflects the detailed process that defines every work by Minimal Studio.
A beach club connected to the sea
Numa means “obsession for happiness” in Japanese. From the beginning, we imagined a beach club where guests could feel the sea and disconnect. We wanted a calm place with high-quality gastronomy. This idea guided the design and shaped a space with a strong visual identity.
To build this atmosphere, we used a neutral colour palette. This choice gives the beach club a clean look and keeps a constant connection with the sea views.
Each area has its own personality. The Balinese bed zone is different from the amphitheatre and the cocktail bar. The restaurant also creates its own ambience and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.
Even so, all areas feel united thanks to one key detail: the floor joints are filled with sea sand. This creates a full connection with the natural environment.
Lighting also plays an essential role. As Worldlight, we studied the sun’s position at each moment of the day and designed a clear visual path. A good example is the tunnel leading to the wet rooms, where light guides visitors and enhances the experience.
