{"id":48492,"date":"2022-05-09T11:00:20","date_gmt":"2022-05-09T11:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldlight.es\/portfolio-items\/diseno-de-iluminacion-fruteria-gourmet-son-march\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T09:59:54","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T09:59:54","slug":"fruteria-son-march","status":"publish","type":"avada_portfolio","link":"https:\/\/worldlight.es\/en\/portfolio-items\/fruteria-son-march\/","title":{"rendered":"Fruteria Son March"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Fruteria Son March<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"165\" data-end=\"340\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/worldlight.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Worldlight Estudio<\/a><\/strong><\/span> handled the lighting design, commissioned by interior designer <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mrotger.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marga Rotger<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, for the traditional Mallorcan fruit shop <strong data-start=\"307\" data-end=\"339\">Fruites i Verdures Son March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"342\" data-end=\"1184\">The company <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/mrotger.com\/portfolio\/fruites-i-verdures-son-march\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fruites i Verdures Son March<\/a><\/span><\/strong> was founded more than 40 years ago and specializes in the distribution of fruit and vegetables for the hospitality sector. A few years ago, they opened a fruit shop for local customers. As the business continued to grow, they moved to new facilities, a large warehouse at the entrance of <strong data-start=\"675\" data-end=\"687\">Sa Pobla<\/strong>, where they decided to open a second shop with more than <strong data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"755\">300 m\u00b2<\/strong> of retail space. Interior designer <strong data-start=\"791\" data-end=\"807\">Marga Rotger<\/strong> created a design concept that would convey a more modern and innovative identity, avoiding stereotypes while referencing tradition and the rural landscape. She focused on small details, which became the true protagonists of the project. The goal was to combine tradition and sustainability with an innovative and functional approach that would enhance the products on display.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1232\">The space is divided into four distinct areas:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1394\">\n<li data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1274\">\n<p data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1274\">Seasonal fruit and vegetable display<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1275\" data-end=\"1341\">\n<p data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1341\">Takeaway area with salads, pokes, sandwiches, and fresh juices<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1342\" data-end=\"1376\">\n<p data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1376\">Organic and bulk products area<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1377\" data-end=\"1394\">\n<p data-start=\"1379\" data-end=\"1394\">Checkout area<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Project Objetives for Fruteria Son March<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1396\" data-end=\"2024\">The objective was to create a bold and contemporary concept that would surprise customers. It incorporates a nod to the past with a modern vision, using materials and textures inspired by rural work, highlighting and revaluing those elements. This idea is reflected in choices such as hexagonal tiles reminiscent of a honeycomb, handmade clay tiles, textured wall finishes evoking worked soil, traditional Mallorcan \u201clleng\u00fces\u201d fabrics for awnings, wooden ladders used for collecting figs, and more, all within a very modern setting. The mustard color, used throughout the shop, references the extraordinary sunlight of Mallorca.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2486\">A fun anecdote from the project: Marga Rotger convinced the clients to place a motorized \u201cVespacar\u201d tricycle at the entrance. She wanted a feature that would instantly catch the customer\u2019s eye. At first, the idea was difficult for them to accept, but they eventually loved it. It took months of searching until we found a very old model. It had to be fully restored because it was in poor condition, and with simple lighting, the final result turned out great.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2488\" data-end=\"2792\">For the fruit shop, we needed to illuminate each area with different light levels and color temperatures, since each product requires specific tones to highlight and enhance its appearance.
